External organizations also provide assistance to our students. Students are encouraged to apply for these external awards, scholarships and/or bursaries. Application procedures and deadlines are specific to each one of these awards, so please confirm these details prior to applying.

Aerospace Studies Scholarships

  • High school students in their final year who are entering an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university
  • Students currently enrolled in an aerospace studies program at an accredited Ontario college or university and continuing their studies in the 2024-2025 Academic Year

The value of each scholarship is $2,500.00 CAD and there are 4 available.

Allied Van Lines Scholarship 2024

Provides (4) $1,000 scholarships to qualified Canadians or Permanent resident students in the areas of Business, Logistics or similar fields of study.  Winners will be informed by email.

BridgesEDU Scholarship for Canadian Post-Secondary Students

This scholarship is designed to help one winning applicant pay for education costs in the amount of $1,000. Offered to Canadian students attending a post-secondary institution in September 2024.

Chaney-Ensign Bursary Fund

Provides bursaries to students in any subject enrolled in a college, university or institution in Canada or the US, who can demonstrate financial need and who have graduated from a publicly funded secondary school in Hamilton. Undergrad and postgrad students are eligible.

David Davis Memorial Bursary

Provides bursaries to students who can demonstrate financial need and who are enrolled in a music program at a college, university or institution in Canada, the US or abroad. Undergrad and postgrad students are eligible.

Geritol Follies Bursary

Provides performing arts bursaries to students of voice, drama, dance or musical instruments who are enrolled in a college, university or institution in Canada or the US, who can demonstrate financial need, are and who have graduated from a publicly funded secondary school in Hamilton or Burlington. Undergrad and postgrad students are eligible.

Indspire Awards

Indspire disburses bursaries and scholarships through its Building Brighter Futures program to Indigenous students who are enrolled in post-secondary programs. Since 1985, Indspire has disbursed bursaries and scholarships to First Nation, Inuit, and Métis post-secondary students. It is the largest funder for Indigenous education outside of the federal government.

National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) Financial Aid Portal

The National Educational Association of Disabled Students (NEADS) is pleased to announce the availability of its new financial aid portal for students with disabilities: www.DisabilityAwards.ca.

With the support of the Canada Student Loan Program and the Office for Disability Issues, NEADS has developed a site containing over 300 scholarships, awards and bursaries specifically for post-secondary students with disabilities.

Pacific Medical Training Scholarship

Parts Canada Trans Can Entrance Awards

Awarded to a student entering Canadore College in his or her first year of a Skilled Trades program, who participated in or attended that year’s Parts Canada Trans Can at Walton Raceway. Value $1,000.00

Provincial Smart Home Services Scholarship

Provincial Smart Home Services is offering an annual scholarship to help students, who have made a positive environmental impact, pursue post-secondary education. There will be one $5,000 award and two $2,500 awards given out each year. These awards can be used towards any costs associated with your education including tuition fees, housing, textbooks, and other expenses.

The Rick & Amanda Hansen Scholarship for Youth with Disabilities

Providing financial support to Canadian youth with disabilities to pursue post-secondary education and realize their full potential. Funding of up to $10,000 per year (up to a maximum of $40,000) is available for youth with disabilities, who are under the age of 30 years as of the application deadline (May 31, 2024), looking to complete a 1- to 4-year post-secondary program at a publicly funded institution in Canada.

Storwell's Foster Children Bursary Program

Storwell offers an annual bursary of $2,000 in support of foster children to help them attend post-secondary schools and to offer a hand up as they make their way forward in life.

Taking Flight Scholarship

The CIM Foundation's Taking Flight Scholarship was established to encourage Indigenous high school and post-secondary students wishing to pursue a career in mining. 
Three $2,000 scholarships will be awarded annually to qualifying students across Canada.

Please note that this is open to Indigenous, Metis and Inuit students.
