International Student Profile – Ankita Rajput

Ankita Rajput has a Master of Commerce degree specializing in accounting and business statistics and more than nine years’ experience in the education sector as an assistant manager. She came to Canada from India in April 2023 and enrolled in the Project Management program at Canadore College one month later.
“I found Canadore to be the ideal choice for several reasons,” she said. “Firstly, Canadore’s reputation for excellence in education and its comprehensive curriculum aligned perfectly with my career goals. I am confident that my decision to pursue my studies at Canadore will greatly contribute to my professional growth and success in the field.”
Adapting to life in Canada came with its challenges, especially the absence of familial connections.
“I found solace and support in the Canadore community, particularly through the Student Success Department,” she said. “They quickly became like family to me; from providing guidance on navigating Canadian winters to offering career advice and arranging group activities, they ensured I felt supported and included.”
“Their small yet invaluable tips, like advising to walk like a penguin on snowy paths, truly made a difference,” Ankita said.
