Earlier last year, Canadore was buzzing with the news that Jason Manella; a third-year digital cinematography student had been selected as one of the lucky three screenwriters in the Jameson First Shot Film competition to have their short film brought to life.
An article was written in August about Jason and his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and it was in that timeframe that Manella had left to Los Angeles to develop his production alongside brilliant minds within the creative industry.
Now, almost a year later, Jason Manella’s short film titled A Funny Thing Happened to Kelly and Ted is up for viewing on YouTube, with over a million and a half total views! It is a great reflection on not only the talent that Canadore produces within its programs, but the available opportunities there are if you do the research and believe in yourself.
The short film is one riddled with wit and comedic flare, and the production value and writing overall really makes for a stellar performance.
