Canadore College wants to share Holiday cheer with North Bay

Dec 2, 2020 | Cindy Males, Public Relations and Communications Specialist

Canadore College will mark the start of the holiday season with its employees and their families with an outdoor, physically-distanced event at its Commerce Court Campus on Friday evening. And while the campus will remain closed to the public, Canadore hopes the North Bay community will take a few minutes to enjoy a fireworks display that will be set off over the campus at around 7:00 pm.

The North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit has approved the event, which will see College employees and their families come together for a contactless drive-in event.

The College is asking employees to donate to the Canadore Student Food Bank at the event, and we encourage others to contribute to their favourite charity during this season of giving.

As a thank you to the community for its support in 2020, and to further brighten the community’s spirits everyone is invited to drive by the Commerce Court Campus any evening during the holiday season to enjoy a show of lights accompanied by music broadcast through 88.1 FM radio.

Canadore College campuses will be closed for the Holiday Break from Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at 4:30 pm to Monday, January 4, 2021 at 8:30 am.
