Student Success Services Department
Student Success Services promotes a supportive learning environment for our International students.
They provide student-focused services to help guide you to success in your studies. Staff provide support through learning strategies, mental health and wellness events, and by reducing and/or removing educational–related barriers through accommodation planning with students with disabilities.
International Transition, Retention & Support Program
The International Transition, Retention & Support Coordinator is here to help international students adjust smoothly to life in North Bay and achieve success while studying at Canadore.
Whether you are on campus or studying from a distance, you can connect with the ITRSC for transition support, academic skill development, and help with finding and accessing support and resources in the campus and community.

International Academic Support Hub
English Language & Academic Support is available to International students through the International Academic Support Hub. They provide Academic Support, Workshops and Language Support.
Located at the College Drive Campus in room C106 they are available Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri - 9:30am to 4:30pm and Tues - 10:30am to 6:00pm. Virtual appointments are also available!

Accessible Learning Services
Accommodations are designed to eliminate or minimize barriers related to education, ensuring that international students have the chance to fulfill program and course requirements. In high school, this might have been known as an IEP or disability accommodation. The accommodation process encourages collaboration among the student, Student Success Services, and instructors/faculty, as part of our collective responsibility to support international students. Student Success Services maintains the required documentation to facilitate these accommodations.

Peer Tutoring Services
Peer tutoring is when students help each other learn. One student who knows a subject well teaches another student who needs help. They work together to understand assignments and concepts. Peer Tutoring offers one-on-one help with your course content, from senior students in your program. It's beneficial for both the tutor and the student being tutored, helping them understand the subject better and boosting their confidence.
