Bachelor of Science in Nursing
This integrated, collaborative nursing program leads to a BScN awarded by Canadore's partnering institution, Nipissing University. This program offers students an innovative way of learning that incorporates the best of both college and university learning experiences. 

Behavioural Science – Technician / Technology
This specialized program will train you to become a behaviour analyst, skilled in the theory and technique of behaviour analysis and modification. Graduates are qualified to work in a number of settings working with individuals or groups with mental health issues, autism or other developmental disabilities or who are in need of crisis intervention.

Child Development Practitioner Apprenticeship
There is an increasing demand for child development practitioners who are not only skilled in the practical aspects of the trade, but also have a sound theoretical knowledge. The majority of the training takes place while working on the job as a paid apprentice, and the formal education portion is taken via distance education.

Dental Hygiene
Develop the knowledge, skills, and judgement needed to become a self-regulated health professional. A large part of your training will include hands-on clinical practice. Students work with clients from the community on-site in Canadore’s Dental Hygiene Clinic, where they offer free dental hygiene services as they put their clinical theory into practice.

Early Childhood Education
There is an increased demand for qualified early childhood educators. This activity-based program is taught using a holistic approach in which the stages of a child’s developmental growth are emphasized including cognitive skills and socio-emotional development.

Functional Genomics and Clinical Consultation
This program integrates molecular and cellular-based strategies to study the structure, function and regulation of an individual's genomic legacy. Learn to apply techniques such as genotyping and next generation sequencing to unlock the power of the genome.

Health Care Administration
Prepare for a leadership role in a variety of health care settings and learn all aspects of health care operations and concepts as they relate to a multi-disciplinary team. This one year program will prepare you to be responsive to different cultures and behaviours in a number of situations and environments.

Health Care Administration - Indigenous
his program provides health care graduates or practitioners with business and fundamental leadership skills including communication, critical thinking, leadership, and financial management skills. This program is designed to support Indigenous communities by preparing future health practitioners to increase their capacity to deliver services, coordinate programs and promote the health of the community.

Indigenous Pre-Health Sciences Pathway to Certificates and Diplomas
This program will prepare you to meet the challenges of post-secondary education while you gain a solid understanding of Indigenous history and culture, as well as vital science and math skills.

Indigenous Preparatory Studies
This unique culture-based program will help you find direction while learning the vital skills to make an informed decision about your college education or future career. You will gain a solid understanding of Indigenous history and culture, which will better prepare you to meet the challenges of postsecondary education. 

Indigenous Wellness and Addictions Prevention
The curriculum is based on the holistic teachings of the Medicine Wheel, with a focus on the root causes of addiction within Indigenous communities. You will learn both cultural and mainstream approaches to addictions counselling. Training ranges from pharmacology to traditional methods including Sacred Circles, Teaching/Learning Circles, and the use of the four sacred medicines – tobacco, cedar, sage and sweet grass.

Mental Health and Addictions Worker
Health professionals with training in mental health and addictions are highly sought after. You will train to work in mental health and addiction-specific settings, including a broad spectrum of social and health agencies. Learn in class and in the field, through simulation and group learning, under the skilled instruction of our professors.

Occupational Therapist Assistant and Physiotherapist Assistant
OTAs and PTAs work with people who have limited or impaired functionality due to injury, illness, disability or aging. Learn in a hands-on environment to develop the skills you need to work in clinical and community-based settings under the guidance and supervision of registered occupational therapists and physiotherapists.

Personal Support Worker
Personal support workers provide services to clients with physical, cognitive, emotional and behavioral challenges. Learn hands-on in the classroom, on community placements and in the home environment simulation lab equipped with high-end fidelity audio/visual equipment and interactive mannequins.

Practical Nursing
Train for a career in this important health field in Canadore's leading-edge simulation nursing laboratory. The lab is equipped with interactive mannequins that speak and replicate real symptoms, on which students act out common medical emergencies. Training culminates with a seven-week, pre-graduate placement experience working with a registered practical nurse.

Respiratory Therapy
Graduates of this program are extensively trained in medical gas administration, mechanical ventilation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and anaesthesia. A third-year placement includes the Hospital for Sick Children and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, where students gain practical experience in neonatal and pediatric settings.

Social Service Worker
Learn skills and methods that will prepare you to work in a variety of different settings and challenging situations. Themes include social justice, empowerment of marginalized citizens and ethics. You will also be introduced to Indigenous history and culture through the Canada's First Peoples Course.

Social Service Worker – Gerontology
As the baby boomer generation ages, there is an increased demand for caring professionals with knowledge and expertise in aging. The focus of this program is to enhance the quality of life for older adults using a holistic approach. 

Autism and Behavioural Science
This program is designed for students who have completed a recognized diploma or degree program in the areas of education or human services. Training will focus primarily on working with children who have autism or behavioural challenges. Students will be introduced to a variety of procedures used to assess and treat challenging behaviours.

Diabetes Education
The Diabetes Education Graduate Program offers a firm foundation in current clinical approaches to diabetes education. It is designed for Registered Nurses (RN), Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), Registered Dietitians (RD), Chiropodists, and Pharmacists.

Fundamentals of Caregiving
This course is designed to help you, as a current or future caregiver, to improve personally and professionally – equipping you with the knowledge and skills to provide high quality care in a community setting. The course will explore the traits of a successful caregiver and will focus on foundational knowledge, including health and wellness, boundaries and caregiver burnout.

Palliative Care – Working with the Terminally Ill
This certificate program has been designed to enhance the knowledge and skills of people involved in a helping capacity with the terminally ill and their families. It enables students to develop the provision of compassionate care where the quality of remaining life is the primary objective and symptom control is the basis for care.
