Accessibility

The Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and standards require educational institutions to make their course materials and resources accessible to students who have disabilities. These requirements remove and prevent barriers to learning by considering accessibility needs and providing information in accessible formats.

The Academic Centre of Excellence (ACE) works closely with Student Success Services in supporting faculty with the development of accessible instructional materials and resources. ACE support includes training on EdTech accessibility features, creating accessible multimedia, and applying Universal Design for Learning (UDL).
