SDG Accord

Why?

Post-secondary institutions play a critical role in advancing and delivering the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As such, it our duty to ensure that we equip our students and employees with the knowledge and tools to promote well-being on campus and within the communities we serve.

How?

The SDG Accord is an international accord and an opportunity to inspire, celebrate and advance the important role that education plays in practicing and promoting the SDGs. It also represents a firm commitment made to do more to deliver the SDGs to its employees, students, and within the communities they serve. At Canadore, both the institution and student government are united in our commitment to the SDGs.

  • President and CEO, George Burton affirmed our commitment by signing in 2021. View our certificate here.
  • Canadore Students’ Council also signed in May 2023.

The annual report, which is submitted from institutions across the globe, celebrates the progress made and identifies opportunities for improvement. View the 2023 report here
