The Northern Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre of Excellence has a dedicated team prepared to support our clients during their time with us and beyond.
Care Coordinator:
The intake process at the Northern Ontario Addiction Treatment Centre of Excellence is designed to meet the client where they are at, enhancing hope and initiating, from first contact, their recovery journey. We understand that coming to treatment can be a challenging process, and our Care Coordinator is here to provide support every step of the way. After receiving the application, the individual will be contacted for a confidential assessment to gather more information about their unique individual needs and addiction history to determine the best level of service for them. We will also use this time to answer any questions the applicant may have about our program and provide information on what a typical day in our facility looks like. Once accepted into one of our programs, our Care Coordinator will act as a client and community liaison, providing assistance in linking services between NOATCE and the individual’s home community, and providing pre-admission support to help individuals navigate the admission process to provide a smooth and welcoming transition into treatment.
Addiction Therapists:
At Northern Ontario Addiction Treatment Center of Excellence, our highly trained and experienced Addiction Therapist team focuses on building therapeutic relationships with vulnerable and diverse populations within a continuum of care that is inclusive and holistic, concentrating on the essential pillars of integrity, accountability, transparency, trust and respect. Our Addiction Therapists work with each client as they transition through our continuum of care, from withdrawal management, through residential treatment and provision of post-treatment follow-up supports. Our multidisciplinary team provides outstanding one-to-one therapy sessions along with educational and psychotherapeutic groups, and case management services. The Addiction Therapist team brings decades of experience, and each are trained to provide trauma informed, culturally safe treatment using a variety of modalities and Best Practices to meet each client’s individual needs. All of our Addiction Therapists are registered members of their respective professional organizations and colleges, regulating their practice in providing ethical, effective and evidence-based psychotherapy and addiction therapy services.
Recovery Support Staff:
In addition to the Addiction Therapists, the NOATCE therapeutic team includes Recovery Support Staff, who serve a vital role in providing a supportive environment that ensures all clients experience a safe and compassionate journey in early recovery. The Recovery Support Staff are a critical part of the therapeutic team as they work closely with the clients and the multidisciplinary team while providing complimentary and additional programming and on-site support. Our Recovery Support Staff possess the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to support and enhance our clients’ therapeutic and healing experiences.
Nursing Staff:
The Northern Ontario Addiction Treatment Center of Excellence team includes a specialized Nursing component, providing 24/7 medical support to clients in all levels of the continuum of care. Supports include medically monitored withdrawal management along with ongoing medical / health screening and assessments, individualized primary care, medication management including ORT, and collaboration with community health service providers to assist with navigating required care pathways. Along with providing health education and wellness management, our Nursing team liaises with the primary care physicians, the therapeutic and the food services teams to collaborate in the provision of primary medical care as well as case management services. All of the NOATCE Nursing staff are knowledgeable in addictions related medical approaches to care and are fully registered with the College of Nurses Ontario (CNO) and other licensing bodies.
Food Services:
At NOATCE our team believes the kitchen is the heart of the home. We believe the importance of a healthy diet is crucial to health and overall wellness. A healthy body and healthy mind are one in the same. Our passionate culinary team strives for excellence in every meal. Our focus is on delicious well balanced whole foods cooking. We strive for our clients to look forward to every meal plated by our experienced team.
