Panthers to Host Military Appreciation Game on Sunday

(NORTH BAY, ONT.) – Canadore College’s elite student athletes will be dedicating their varsity basketball game to the military this Sunday.

Military personnel and their families from 22 Wing North Bay, its Squadrons and affiliates, will be the Panthers’ special guests, treated to a pre-game social followed by an appreciation ceremony.  

Event:             Canadore Panthers vs. Fleming Knights

Date:               Sunday, January 21, 2018

Time:             Pre-game ceremony at 12:50 p.m.

                        Game-time at 1 p.m.

Location:        Education Centre Gym, 100 College Drive, North Bay, Ont.

Entry to Sunday’s game is free, and patrons are encouraged to wear red at Sunday’s game. Spectators will also have the chance to ‘net for cash’ at half-time.

The men’s varsity basketball team also plays against the Durham Lords on Saturday at 4 p.m.

Panthers athletics also includes men’s and women’s varsity indoor soccer, campus rec ice hockey, co-ed rec pickleball, co-ed rec ice hockey and co-ed volleyball.
