Media Fundamentals - Indigenous Visual Storytelling
Ontario College Certificate

This certificate will provide students with an opportunity to explore the exciting variety of disciplines and careers within media, design and artistic industries with a focus on Indigenous culture and history. Learners will be able to develop creative concepts and ideas through a range of formats using a variety of techniques in order to bring a project from ideation to actualization. Graduates of this one-year program are eligible for advanced standing in the following Canadore programs: Acting for Stage and Screen, Digital Cinematography, Graphic Design and TV Broadcasting. Certificate holders will be knowledgeable enough to become independent artists, or may work in any number of positions in traditional, digital or on-screen media.

Recording Engineering - Music Production
Ontario College Diploma

Students enrolled in this two-year diploma program will be trained to work as producers and sound engineers in today's modern music industry. Learners will produce multi-track recordings in order to demonstrate a mastery of full range audio engineering and music production skills. A strong emphasis will be placed on the understanding and application of technologies involved in professional music production. Students will also be exposed to live event sound, TV and film composition, video editing, and electronic music production. Graduates will be well-positioned to enter into the workforce directly or articulate into Canadore College’s post production program or at the Limerick Institute of Technology’s four year bachelor’s of science (honours) in music technology and production.

Product Engineering-Advanced Manufacturing (Coming soon)
Ontario College Advanced Diploma

This program provides students with a solid foundation of knowledge and skills required to operate in a modern manufacturing environment by providing a combination of theoretical and hands-on experience in advanced manufacturing technologies, techniques, and processes.

Graduates of the Product Engineering-Advanced Manufacturing and Robotics Technology program carry out engineering functions in compliance with established standards, policies and procedures within the scope of practice of the product engineering technologist.

“Canadore’s programs are designed to be compelling to students, meet academic quality and program standards and fill skills gaps identified through industry consultations,” said George Burton, president and CEO of Canadore College. “We are extremely proud to be bringing these new choices to Ontario’s postsecondary market.”
