The High-Performance Academy is an intensive strength and conditioning program aimed at improving key physical performance metrics for competitive athletes. Training includes:
- Linear speed & acceleration
- Change of direction & reactivity
- Strength, power, & endurance
- Flexibility & mobility
Training Methods:
- Field-based speed, agility, & reaction drills
- Weightlifting principles
- Sled work & plyometrics
- Functional Range Conditioning®
Athletes do not need prior proficiency but should be ready to commit to deliberate, structured training to maximize their potential.

Location
The Panthers Sportsplex, located at 60 Commerce Crescent in North Bay, is an 85,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art air-supported structure at Canadore College. As the region's only year-round facility of its kind, it offers a variety of athletic amenities, including a full-sized FIFA regulation soccer field that can be divided into thirds, two multi-purpose courts suitable for sports like tennis, volleyball, pickleball, and badminton, and a high-performance training area equipped with advanced fitness equipment. The attached 6,200-square-foot clubhouse features accessible facilities, including team change rooms, public washrooms, a community room, and a classroom.

Summer Academy
Program Overview
- Duration: 16 weeks (Monday, May 5 – Friday, August 22)

Age Requirement: 2010 birth year and older
- Capacity: 72 athletes (subject to specific session availability)
- Structure:
- 20-minute speed/agility work
- 60-minute strength training
- 10-minute mobility training
Session Times
- 7:30 AM - 9:00 AM (12 athlete max)

8:15 AM - 9:45 AM (12 athlete max)
- 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM (16 athlete max)
- 9:45 AM - 11:15 AM (16 athlete max)
- 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM (16 athlete max)

Coaching and Personnel
As Performance Director at the High Performance Academy, Caleb Mady brings nearly a decade of expertise in enhancing the physical performance of high-performing athletes. With credentials of a Master's of Science in Kinesiology, Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (CSCS), Functional Range Strength Coach (FRSC), United States Weightlifting Association - Level 2, and others, he specializes in improving athletic potential. As a dedicated Strength and Conditioning Coach, he follows the principle: “Stubborn on vision; flexible on details.” He and Academy staff have the vision to improve athlete performance for competition; how that's achieved may vary between athletes.
